RE: Smoke Alarms....yes or no ?

You can never have too many smoke alarms can you?
Of course some might go off due to humidity etc. but I'd rather the nuisance than be dead in a fire.
In fact I think the latest statistic on fires is that almost 100% of them didn't have working smoke detectors.
PS-in our 40' boat we have an automatic Halon system in the engine room. Maybe they have similar for RV's.

RE: How is your low cost inverter gen. doing?

Never mind... now I know why there's over 6,000 posts on the "3,000 watt chinese generator" thread... LOL.

RE: How is your low cost inverter gen. doing?

I was thinking compared to the Honda 3000 invertor unit though. I have a Honda 2000 and was thinking of (a) adding a 2nd 2000 or (b) upgrading to a 3000.
Of course I don't want to fire up the genny and be ashamed because it's so loud... if you know what I mean.

RE: Tire Spacing

Maybe you guys can give me some tire pointers.. I've got a new (2008) 32' trailer (8,000 lbs) I've towed already about 12,000 miles on Chinese Milestar tires. One tire has a small cut in the tread but otherwise they look OK,
BUT I HATE CHINESE TIRES. and I don't want to drop the money to replace them all. I have a spare in case we get a flat while travelling...
what's the benefit of the tires you guys are talking about... "Michelin XPS" or "B.F. Goodrich Commercial".
We tow the trailer in heat, snow, ice, freezing rain, downpours, everything.

RE: Tire Spacing

Personally I don't believe in changing the aspect ratio of tires but that's just my opinion. I think the manufacturer chooses the wheel and tire sizes for some (unknown to me) specific reasons.
Maybe there's another quality tire that makes an exact match size?
I guess the question is why take a chance?

RE: Water pump intermittent failures

I'd look at (a) air in the lines (b) kinked hose (c) loose wiring.

Is there a reason you want to alter the size?

This has been going on for ages. Their complete bogus "unlimited" plan.
Rogers has one too... and you get the same letter.

RE: Disappointing WDW Campsite

Aside from the theme parks, try bike riding at FW. You can ride through beautiful forests, see wildlife... deers even... and travel to the other WDW resorts. We spend DAYS bike riding and thought it was more fun than the park.

RE: Convection Oven - Turntable

I'm suprised that if you can turn off the turntable that it wouldn't be in the manual. But that's my logic. If I didn't see it in the manual I would assume it was not possible.

RE: Air shocks?

I would try to adjust the WD hitch before anything else. Unfortunately you might need to do a bunch of reading ... here on this forum ... to get to the point you understand it all.
Of course, you might already be a WD genius too.
